Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

On behalf of the K.A. Deasy Parent Teacher’s Association, it is our pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful community! We are looking forward to a great year filled with fantastic events, community building activities and, most importantly, supporting our students, teachers, and staff so they can continue to attain excellence in education!

The primary way to make this the best year for your family and our community is to join the PTA! This is your chance to be a member of a great organization that funds many of the opportunities you see around the school. Your support enhances your child’s(ren’s) experiences at our school and we want to hear from you! When you join the PTA you are not obligated to attend all meetings nor volunteer; you can participate as much or as little as you would like or are able to, finding a perfect balance that is right for you.

The most fascinating way to make it the best school year ever is to volunteer! It has been proven that a child whose parent(s) is involved in his /her education and school experiences is a more successful student. By getting involved at home and school, children do better- grades are higher, test scores rise, self-esteem grows and schools improve. We encourage all parents to join and support the work of our PTA by purchasing a membership for $7.00. By joining and volunteering in the PTA there is no better way to get connected. Know what is happening at Deasy, meet other parents and teachers, and build rapport, plus share ideas, concerns and experiences.  By volunteering, you put your skills, hobbies, and interests to work! We invite everyone to share their ideas to help make the 2022-2023 school year a successful one!!!

The first PTA meeting of the year will be held prior to Open School Night in the Middle School Auditorium on Wednesday, September 20th at 6:30pm. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the PTA and sign up for events for the upcoming year. Enclosed you will find a Class Parent Sign-up Form. Our Deasy teachers are working hard to make this year successful for all our children. We're asking for volunteers now to make sure Deasy teachers have all the support in the classrooms they need. Bienvenido al año escolar 2022-2023

En nombre de la K.A. Asociación de Padres y Maestros de Deasy, ¡Es un placer darle la bienvenida a nuestra maravillosa comunidad! ¡Esperamos un gran año lleno de eventos fantásticos, actividades de desarrollo comunitario y, lo más importante, apoyar a nuestros estudiantes, maestros y personal para que puedan continuar alcanzando la excelencia en la educación!

¡La forma mas major de hacer este el mejor año para su familia y nuestra comunidad es unirse a la PTA! Esta es su oportunidad de ser miembro de una gran organización que financia muchas de las oportunidades que ve en la escuela. ¡Su apoyo mejora las experiencias de su(s) hijo/a(s) en nuestra escuela y queremos saber de usted! Cuando se une a la PTA, no está obligado asistir a todas las reuniones ni a ser voluntario; puede participar cuanto tiempo desee o pueda encontrar un equilibrio perfecto que sea adecuado para usted.

Se ha comprobado que un niño/a que tenga padres que participan en su educación y experiencias escolares es un estudiante más exitoso. Alentamos a todos los padres a unirse y apoyar el trabajo de nuestra PTA comprando una membresía por $7.00. Al unirse y ser voluntario en el PTA, no hay mejor manera de conectarse. Sepa lo que está sucediendo en Deasy, conozca a otros padres y maestros y establezca una buena relación, además de compartir ideas, inquietudes y experiencias. ¡Al ofrecerse como voluntario, pone a trabajar sus habilidades, pasatiempos e intereses! ¡Invitamos a todos a compartir sus ideas para ayudar a que el año escolar 2022-2023 sea exitoso!

La primera reunión de el PTA del año se llevará a cabo antes de la Noche de Escuela Abierta en el Auditorio de la Finley Middle School el miércoles 20 de septiembre a las 6:30 p.m. Tendrá la oportunidad de aprender más sobre el PTA e inscribirse en eventos para el próximo año. Adjunto encontrará un formulario de inscripción para padres de clase. Nuestros maestros de Deasy están trabajando arduamente para que este año sea exitoso para todos nuestros niños. Estamos pidiendo voluntarios ahora para asegurarnos de que los maestros de Deasy tengan todo el apoyo que necesitan en los salones.
